Groups Networks and Meetings

Our Living Independently For Everyone (LIFE) groups are designed for two distinct audiences. The Mutual Aid groups are for people who struggle or who have struggled with drug or alcohol addiction or misuse. The Family and Friends groups are for people affected by another person’s drug or alcohol addiction or misuse.

They are all confidential and meet in person or via Zoom on a regular basis. The LIFE approach draws on the principles of Cognitive Behaviour (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT). All groups are facilitated by someone with lived experience of addiction or misuse or lived experience of being affected by another person’s addiction or misuse.

Attendance at all meetings is open and no referral is needed. Abstinence is not required but a participant may be asked to leave if they appear intoxicated.
